This one-time professional cheerleader began her acting career as a "mermaid" on the final season of
The Love Boat. Over the next few years, Hatcher played a host of femme fatales before reinventing Superman's girlfriend for the neurotic '90s on
Lois & Clark. Although she subsequently starred in a number of features, she had difficulty maintaining her career momentum. It wasn't until 2004 that the self-proclaimed "has-been" landed a lead role on
Desperate Housewives, once again becoming a star and sex symbol.
