A deluxe if derivative wallow in crime awaits viewers of TNT's Mob City (Wednesday, 9/8c) a six-hour primer in film noir attitude from The Walking Dead's Frank Darabont that's as sleek as the brilliantine in "fixer" Milo Ventimiglia's impeccably styled hair. Saturated in neon hues and evocative shadows, this limited-run series (airing in two-hour blocks over three Wednesdays) is gorgeous to behold even when it lays on the noir trappings awfully thick.

Celebrities React to Landmark Same-Sex Marriage Decisions

The U.S. Supreme Court issued two landmark rulings related to the issue of same-sex marriage Wednesday. First, the court ruled that the federal Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as between a man and a woman, is unconstitutional — paving the way for legally married same-sex couples to receive the same federal benefits as straight married couples. Second, the Court dismissed an appeal against California's Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in the state — meaning that same-sex marriage can resume in California.

TNT Orders Six Episodes of Frank Darabont's Period L.A. Noir Drama

The ambitious L.A. noir drama developed by The Walking Dead's Frank Darabont has landed a series order at TNT. The cable network has ordered six episodes of the untitled show, which stars Walking Dead alum Jon Bernthal as Joe Teague, an ex-Marine turned LAPD cop during the city's rough-and-tumble 1940s. read more

Gloucester, England-born Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz) and Harold & Kumar's John Cho are boarding J.J. Abrams' Star Trek feature in the roles of engineering wizard/Romulan-ale enthusiast Montgomery Scott and Lt. Hikaru Sulu, says the Reporter. They join other future Enterprisers Zachary Quinto (as Spock), Zoe Saldana (Uhura) and Anton Yelchin (Chekov), while Eric Bana has been tapped to play the villain.
