Jodie Foster Comes Out, Retires and Slams Lack of Privacy in Surprising Golden Globes Speech

There were winners and losers at the 70th Golden Globe Awards Sunday, but one of the biggest newsmakers of the evening was Lifetime Achievement Award winner Jodie Foster, who came out as a lesbian and seemed to retire from Hollywood during her speech.

After being presented with the award by former co-star and close friend Robert Downey Jr., Foster took a few light-hearted jabs at her own highlight reel and said she felt like the prom queen of the night. However, her speech quickly took a turn when Foster announced she had "the sudden urge to say something that I've never been able to air in public. I'm just going to put it out there loud and proud. I am going need your support on this. I am... read more

To find out and get scoop on their upcoming post-Super Bowl slot, TVGuide.com turned to executive producer Rob Doherty: read more

How Elementary Won't Go There with Sherlock and Watson

Millions of Sherlock Holmes fans can rest easy; CBS' Holmes adaptation Elementary will pretty much never suffer from the Moonlighting curse (and here's hoping that is the last time we'll ever mention those two ideas in the same sentence).

Despite changes, CBS' Elementary captures the spirit of the original Sherlock Holmes

After CBS announced that its modern-day adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famed detective series would feature a female Watson, fans feared that sexual tension may develop within one of the most iconic partnerships in history. But they didn't need to worry. Executive producer Rob Doherty promises there will be no romance between the dynamic duo in this iteration, which stars Jonny Lee Miller as the recovering addict and consultant for the NYPD, while his distaff Watson (Lucy Liu) is a former surgeon who becomes Sherlock's "sober companion."

"It was certainly never about creating... read more
