Episode Recap: "The Girl Who Gets a Mango"At the start of this weeks ANTM, it seemed as though wed waving bye-bye to Ebony. She's been rubbing the judges the wrong way nearly every week so far, so it wouldnt have been the biggest shocker to see her go. As Heather discussed her problem with always giving the camera a profile shot, a surprise guest came to the door. The girls were ecstatic to find it was Tyson Beckford, and he was there to teach the group how to be good spokespersons. They were each asked to grab an item in the house and try to sell it. Most of them seemed to go with the idea that sex sells, and tried to sound as seductive as possible. Little did they know that sex would definitely not sell in the challenge that awaited them. When the girls arrived at the location of this weeks challenge, they learned their task would be to come up with a 30-second PSA for the Keep a Child Alive charity. Episode Recap: "The Girl Who Goes Bald" This week's recap by Ben KatnerWow, my first time subbing as TVGuide.com's America's Next Top Model recapper, and I get makeover week. Scary. Be gentle with me, people. The episode starts out with Victoria saying for the umpteenth time that it didn't occur to her until recently that modeling might be a kick in the smarty-pants, and I'm not buying it. I mean, if she'd ever even considered trying out for this show, she'd have known that the wannabes, not to mention Miss Tyra, have major hate-ons for girls who don't sob openly about how walking down a runway in clothes you'd never see anyone wear on the street has been their dream since they were in utero.Meanwhile, Saleisha clearly forgetting that once you say you won't you most certainly will announces that she's not ever going to be in the bottom two. But in her favor, she does sob openly about her aspiration to pose for pretty pictures for the rest of her life. More on that...

Can I just say how relieved I was that despite all the foreshadowing, and that heartbreaking list of "the five best moments in my sorry excuse for a life," Lost spared Charlie's life, at least for now, in Wednesday's episode. I'm not sure I could have taken yet another loss this week not after the jarring (though symbolically necessary) death of Christopher on The Sopranos on Sunday, and possibly more shocking, the ouster of Melinda Doolittle on American Idol minutes before Lost started.Id long been looking forward to a generational final showdown between 29-year-old Melinda, who often projects an even older image, and 17-year-old Jordin Sparks, a belter whose coming-of-age story is classic Idol material. The spoiler: beat-boxing Blake, all fresh attitude and funky musicality. That Melinda was the best and certainly the most consistent singer is something that Simon Cowell and no doubt millions of others can agree on. But American Idol isnt merely about singing abi...

Although America's Next Top Model judge Nigel Barker rightly noted that she resembled E.T. in a wig, Furonda Brasfield made it nine — count 'em, nine — weeks into the CoverGirl competition. How on earth did she outlast witty knockouts like Leslie and Mollie Sue? As her TVGuide.com interview reveals, it certainly wasn't because she exhibited any
