The Vampire Diaries' Julie Plec, Awake creator Kyle Killen and actor/director Peter Billingsley (yes, the boy in the 1983 holiday classic A Christmas Story) have all signed on for the inaugural ATX Television Festival, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
Kicking off June 1 in Austin, Texas, the festival will unveil new series, exhibit current and cult favorites, and spotlight unaired pilots and series that were cancelled before their time. Panels as well as Q-and-As with casts and show creator will be part of the fest.

Emma Caulfield will guest-star in an upcoming episode of ABC's magical drama Once Upon a Time, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
Executive-produced by Lost's Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, the upcoming series tells the story of the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) casting a spell upon classic fairy tale characters who live in Storybrooke, Maine, and don't know their own true identities.

ABC has bought a one-hour drama based on the classic Beauty and the Beast story, TVGuide.com has learned.
Tentatively titled Beauty and the Beast, the drama is an epic re-imagining of the fairy tale, which would fit right in on the network that's bringing Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) to life on new series Once Upon a Time.

Although the CW's Life Unexpected has been all but canceled, creator Liz Tigelaar was tasked with writing a finale that could serve as a series-ender that would satisfy fans.
A show about two unlikely parents whose 16-year-old child enters their lives, Life Unexpected stars Shiri Appleby as Cate and Kristoffer Polaha as Baze, opposites who hooked up at the high school prom and subsequently produced a child. After giving her daughter up for adoption, Cate went on to become a successful radio host whose life with boyfriend Ryan (Kerr Smith) was rocked when said child, Lux (Britt Robertson), re-entered her life.
