  • As a teen, formed a folk trio with brother Peter and sister Suzy; they billed themselves as the New Union Ramblers.
  • Met guitarist Bob Kimmel while attending college; the duo relocated to Los Angeles, where they formed the Stone Poneys with guitarist and singer/songwriter Kenny Edwards.
  • Embarked on a solo career in 1968. 
  • Released her first solo album, Hand Sown Home Grown, in 1969.
