Miley Cyrus did plenty of singing on Saturday Night Live this week, but thankfully left the twerking at home for the most part. Acting as both host and musical guest, Cyrus skewered the government shutdown in one sketch and parodied her infamous performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in another. Despite the show's title, it's a little tough to feel happy and excited about Glee this season. Following the sudden death of Cory Monteith this past July, many of the headlines about the series have been about the death of his character, beloved quarterback and New Directions member-turned-substitute director Finn Hudson, and how the series will move forward without one of its most important characters. For Gleeks across the country and around the world, the thought of watching Glee without Finn is a sad one. However, like any good musical, the show must go on, especially when that show is known for delivering heart, humor and those feel-good moments. Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding! The Fox network couldn't resist chiming in with its own take on "The Fox," the online video sensation and catchy dance song from Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis.
A new Fox promo, set to start airing Tuesday night, features various network stars singing and dancing along to the nonsensical chorus of "The Fox." Among network talent chiming in (complete with animal headgear): Jane Lynch (Glee), Orlando Jones and Katia Winter (Sleepy Hollow), Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Geoff Stults (Enlisted), Graham Elliot (Masterchef Junior) and Michael Ealy (Almost Human). Clips from an assortment of Fox shows are also synced to the tune.
