This Omaha-born blonde left her wholesomeness behind when she became a famous fashion model as a teen. Prized for her personality as well as her beauty, King had trouble handling the high life and became an alcohol and heroin addict. After her photographer boyfriend died of an overdose in 1997, the shell-shocked King cleaned up her act and slowly segued to an acting career by playing supporting parts in a number of features. Her forays into television have been relatively short-lived as have her high-profile romances with Kid Rock and Jake Gyllenhaal.
