Syfy's Warehouse 13 returned for its third season last night with the proverbial bang, plus a seismic shock or two. The good news: Leading lady Joanne Kelly is still with us as Myka Bering, even though the tough, vulnerable, funny and deliciously dishy superagent quit her job in the Season 2 finale after her trust in H.G. Wells (Jaime Murray) almost led the end of the world. Now for the bad news (though it's actually good news!): The evil H.G. is already back — albeit in holographic form — cryptically claiming she's being held captive somewhere and urging Myka to return to her job at the Warehouse. If you're the type that tries to keep track of those perplexing stop-and-start cable schedules, you'll know December tis NOT the season for summer's sci-fi larks Eureka and Warehouse 13 to be airing new episodes. But Syfy programmers are playing Santa Tuesday night, and their gift is a back-to-back package of holiday-themed special originals of the channel's whimsical hit series. It's a great idea, because these are Syfy's most festive series anyway, so why not bring them back to spread a little cheer.

Syfy's Warehouse 13 has been renewed for a 13-episode third season, the network announced on Tuesday.
In addition, Jack Kenny signed a development deal with Universal Cable Productions to return as executive producer and showrunner of the series.
