Ioan Gruffudd Fast Facts:

Played the oboe in the South Glamorgan Youth Orchestra.
Made his movie debut in 1997's Wilde, playing the Irish writer's lover.
Met wife Alice Evans on the set of 102 Dalmatians in 2000.
Fellow Welsh actor Matthew Rhys (Brothers & Sisters) was best man at Gruffudd's 2007 wedding. The longtime friends were once roommates in London and have also worked together (playing a gay couple in the 2001 film Very Annie Mary).
Had a brief but memorable scene as an officer in the blockbuster film Titanic (1997); later worked with Titanic director James Cameron in the action film Sanctum (2011).
