Richie Sambora Arrested for DUI; Daughter in Car? | Today's News: Our Take | 3/26/2008
Rock maven Richie Sambora was arrested for a DUI Tuesday night in Laguna Beach.The Bon Jovi guitarist was caught driving "erratically" in a black Hummer and was pulled over at around 11 pm. After failing several sobriety tests, he was left livin' on a prayer when he was taken to the police station. He reportedly complied with authorities and took a blood test. There was no sign of drug use.There were, however, three female passengers in the car with Sambora at the time of arrest. According to TMZ, one of them was his 10-year-old daughter, Ava, whose mother is his ex-wife, Heather Locklear.Sambora, who has had two stints in rehab, was released early Wednesday morning. Jon Bon Jovi, meanwhile, has not publicly commented on the arrest. Does Sambora give rehab — or, at least, celebs who imbibe and drive — a bad name? This week on Rules of Engagement (Mondays at 9:30 pm/ET, CBS), we've got our lovely guest star, Heather Locklear, back for another episode as Audrey's sister, Barbara. I don't want to embarrass her, but I'm dying to ask her the question that's on everyone's mind — What is Adrian Zmed like in person?So, Heather and I are working on our scene today, and, all of a sudden, we realize we've actually met before. Holy cow! It was sometime in the early '90s. I was a sophomore in college, working in L.A. for the summer, and she was on Melrose Place. We met at a party for her show, where I sat with her and her then husband, Tommy Lee, drinking tequila and playing "Would you rather."
