Having apparently forgiven her boyfriend of two years for Viva Laughlin, Without a Trace's Roselyn Sanchez got engaged to Eric Winter during a holiday vacation on Vieques, an island east of mainland Puerto Rico. In a statement to the AP, a spokesperson for Sanchez (one of TV Guide's Sexiest Stars of 2007) says she and Winter (who is on his way back to Brothers & Sisters... someday) will discuss a wedding date and location upon their return to Los Angeles.

Well that didn't take long. As covered in the new Ausiello Report vodcast, Viva Laughlin's Eric Winter is returning to ABC's Brothers & Sisters. "He's coming back for a few episodes for now," series boss Greg Berlanti told TVGuide.com on the picket line Tuesday, aka "Take Your Stars to Strike Day."Though the writers are striking, B&S still has two episodes left to shoot, and Winter first returns to the set a week from Thursday (albeit not in time for Kitty and Robert's wedding, airing Nov. 25). Jason's resurfacing after an extended and incommunicado stint in Malaysia, Matthew Rhys previews, "will open up Kevin's love life, and Kevin can start having some fun again."

How do I love thee, cancellation of Viva Laughlin? Let me count the ways
.1) It means there's one less mind-numbingly awful TV show clogging up the airwaves.2) It hastens the return of TV's best reality series, The Amazing Race.3) It frees up Eric Winter to return to Brothers & Sisters as Kevin's minister boyfriend.Regarding that last one, although there's no official deal in place for Winter to reprise his role as Rev. Jason McCallister, his speedy return is a foregone conclusion. And if you don't believe me, believe B&S bossman Greg Berlanti: "Obviously, we wanted Eric's show to succeed, but we would be psyched to have him back," says Berlanti. "While I can't say what will happen to [Kevin and Jason] romantically, we would love to have Eric back as soon as possible. He's a great actor, and he and Matthew are wonderful together. And there's also the fact that he's McCallister's brother, which we always wanted to explore further."Barring a writers' strike, I predict Kev...

You could get vertigo tonight, scaling the heights of the finale of Mad Men on AMC, and then plumbing the depths of the tone-deaf misfire that is Viva Laughlin, premiering on CBS in the plum slot after CSI before moving to Sundays. There, only those with the most morbid curiosity to watch a shows slow yet hopefully quick death are likely to follow (unless every critic I know is totally off the mark).First, a salute to the best and most fascinating new show to arrive on TV this year (and Im even including my quirky new treasure Pushing Daisies in that equation). Mad Men, so hypnotic in its look and style as it recreates a classic movie-worthy image of 1960 Manhattan, is a period piece that says volumes about today, or about any era in which salary and status is tied to self-worth and where people construct a false reality to sell themselves on the American dream.Don Draper (instant star Jon Hamm) would seem to have it all. Besides the movie-star looks, he enjoys upward mo...

The Brothers & Sisters ensemble (sans the actors who play Nora, Robert, Kitty and Sarah) recently walked a red carpet outside the San Antonio Winery (where the show has filmed on occasion) in downtown Los Angeles to celebrate the release of the prime-time serial drama's Season 1 DVD release. TVGuide.com was on the scene to get the scoop on that as well as Season 2, which debuts on Sunday, Sept. 30, at 10 pm/ET, on ABC.
Arguably, the biggest shock twist at the end of the show's freshman year was Uncle Saul possibly being gay. (Those longing looks with guest star Michael Nouri sure implied it, didn't they?) Does Ron Rifkin (Saul) know anyone who dealt with their sexual preferences later in life? "Are you kidding?" he responds rhetorically to TVGuide.com. "All of us [know someone like Saul]." That is, if Nora's brother
