Hot Scoop on Eileen Davidson's Return to Days of Our Lives

You can fire her. But you can't stop her. Soap superstar Eileen Davidson, who returns to Days of Our Lives on Thursday, Oct. 11 as nutty hell-raiser Kristen Blake, hasn't been on the NBC serial in 14 years. And she wouldn't be on it now if she hadn't been unceremoniously dumped from her long-running role as heroine Ashley Abbott on CBS's The Young and the Restless. read more

First Look: Days of Our Lives Celebrates 12,000 Episodes

They barely look a day over 11,000! The cast and crew of NBC's Days of Our Lives gathered on Friday, Sept. 28 to celebrate a remarkable TV milestone — the filming of the soap's 12,000th episode. Exclusive: Investigation Discovery Soaps Up With New Daytime Block, Days of Our Knives

You gotta love a network that brings Guiding Light's Josh and Reva back together! Investigation Discovery has been kicking butt in the ratings with its true crime and love-gone-bad programs — the cable network currently ranks fourth in daytime with women 25-54 — and now it's setting a trap for afternoon soap viewers. On Aug. 20, ID will launch Days of Our Knives, a daily three-hour block (1:00 to 4:00pm, ET/PT) of themed programming hosted by some of the greatest stars of daytime drama, including Kim Zimmer, Robert Newman, Drake Hogestyn, Kristian Alfonso and the queen herself, Susan Lucci.

Exclusive: Louise Sorel Exits Days of Our Lives

Salem is about to get a lot less funny. That great fan favorite, and farceur extraordinaire, Louise Sorel has been pink-slipped from Days of Our Lives and will end her run as badass Vivian Alamain in the coming months. After several years away from Days, Sorel returned to the soap in 2009 with much fanfare and has continued to be one of its most acclaimed players. So what went haywire? TV Guide Magazine spoke with the star about her surprising exit.

TV Guide Magazine: What's the reason for not picking up your contract? Money? The recent change in head writers?
Sorel:
My guess is that there's upheaval. The only thing I know for sure is that I'm... read more

Cool news for fans of Days of Our Lives' John and Marlena...they're coming back! Only you won't find 'em on your TV.
