I don't imagine Saturday ...

Question: I don't imagine Saturday Night Live is on your radar, but I'm still a big fan of the show and rarely miss it. (Thank heaven for my DVR, which allows me to record the show and zip past the lamer sketches and lousy musical guests.) The last couple of years I've noticed a trend that's starting to irk me, and I'll use last week's show with Brian Williams as an example. He was a terrific host. TV Guide: You never had a chance to play for a Wild Card playoff spot. How do you think that has changed players’ and teams’ mind-sets entering July and August? John Kruk: Well, it gives everyone a chance, but it’s more confusing to me. You look at the divisions and say, "This team’s out, that team’s out.... Oh, wait a second." The Phillies have been in back of the Mets all season but always have that Wild Card [chance]. It’s good for players because you stay motivated and have more meaningful games. The bad thing is that too many teams can’t realize what they have as a team, so they keep guys and t read more

Love Notes: Terminatrix Gets Some Tailie

Geez, did I actually just write that headline? In an interview with The Advocate, Terminator 3 villainess Kristanna Loken coyly clued in the mag to the fact that she is romantically involved with Lost alum Michelle Rodriguez, with whom she costarred in 2005's BloodRayne.... Esquire's "Sexiest Woman Alive" of 2005, Jessica Biel, was spied on an apparent Tuesday-night date with Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, the New York Post's Page Six reports. I wonder if he turned two?
