Well beyond the immediate aftermath, Kutner's shocking suicide will have lasting repercussions for House, the remainder of his team, and others in the brilliant doc's orbit. But who will be affected, and how? In a conference call with reporters, House creator David Shore, executive producer Katie Jacobs and Kutner's portrayer, Kal Penn, answered burning questions about the latest episode of Fox's hit drama.
Was Kal Penn — who asked off the show to take a job with the White House — taken aback by Kutner's suicide?
"Everyone is always taken aback with every episode of our show," Penn told TVGuide.com. "But obviously yeah, you're connected to the character you play ... so there was more than a little bit of shock and loss when I found out. I was probably as shocked as the audience."
Were other exit storylines batted around?
"We considered many ways to have [Kutner] leave," says David Shore. "Ultimately, this was the story that allowed us to ...

The biggest question on Fox's House (Tuesdays at 9 pm/ET) this season hasn't been whether the brilliant Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) can cure all of those disturbing diseases — it was whether the seemingly unlovable lug would be able to win back his true love, Stacy Warner (Sela Ward), the beautiful — and married — lawyer who returned last season to shake up House's world.
In the Feb. 7 episode, we finally got the answer.
We first met Stacy when her husband needed medical treatment at Princeton-Plainsboro. Ever since then, House has ceaselessly angled to get back in her life — and in the Jan. 10 episode, their chemistry gathered some intense momen

Question: Will we ever see any of Cameron's family on House? I would love to see how House would react to Cameron's family!
Answer: Not sure about Cameron's, but we will meet Foreman's brood later this season when a dramatic, life-changing medical crisis rocks his world. "One of the dangers of working in an environment like this is you tend to get exposed to a lot of sick people," says exec producer David Shore. "So, we actually will have him deal with his mortality to give us an opportunity to deal with his family situation." So, what is Foreman's family situation? "He's not married" is all Shore will say.

Question: Any House spoilers? Is anything going to happen between Chase and Cameron?
Answer: I finally got an answer to that question Sunday night during a cocktail reception on the House set, which, BTW, is humongous. "We made such a big deal of Stacy's return, I think it would be false to have House immediately rebound back to [Cameron]," says exec producer David Shore. "We want to really explore these characters, but we don't want the show to be completely defined by that, with House just going from one woman to another. It would just become a bit too soap opera-ish. But it's clearly there. There are certain little shots that she's going to get from the other doctors about her feelings towards House."

Question: Got anything on House? Answer: How 'bout my best buddy Greg Grunberg? He just shot an episode titled "Sex Kills," and, as he points out, "Who better to have on an episode with the word 'sex' in the title than the sexiest man on TV — me?" (There he goes, stealing my shtick again.) Actually, Greg's story line is not exactly what you'd call sexy. He plays a guy whose "wife was just killed in a car crash," he explains, "and House wants to keep her alive to use her heart for a transplant for a dying patient [Howard Hessman]. I fight him till the end. The role is a real doozie." Greg adds that he and House creator David Shore "have known each other for a long time, and he has been kind enough to ask me on a number of occasions to come have some fun. I've actually worked with half of the people in this crew at one time or another, as well as having worked with Lisa Edelstein on Felic
