Wow, it's hard to believe the year is half-over, and coming months are the busiest time of the year <gulp>.Fans of tween dramas will enjoy picking up the 5th season of Degrassi: The Next Generation. I grew up watching the original, and I'm impressed by the new series; it's a quality show that allows teens to bring up topics with their parents or older siblings. That's not my "pick of the week" for July 3, but it's a very good set.My pick this week goes to the sci-fi series Eureka, from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The 3-disc set includes all 12 episodes from the first season, along with commentary tracks, podcasts, deleted scenes, outtakes, mock infomercials, and webisodes. Per Reuters, MGM has acquired distribution rights for Myriam, Mother of the Christ, a dramatic rendering of the life of Jesus' mom, penned by The Passion of the Christ's Benedict Fitzgerald and slated for an Easter 2008 release....
