After one of the toughest seasons in the show's history — and certainly the most tragic — The Bachelorette has ended with a happy engagement.
The last suitor to exit the limo on the first night, Josh caught Andi's attention immediately, but she remained skeptical of him because he was a former pro athlete. Still, the Tampa native remained a frontrunner and eventually won her over. In fact, she was so smitten that she dumped Nick the morning of the final rose ceremony. After Andi was finally able to profess her love, Josh got down on one knee, proposed and she said, "Yes!"
It was a night of several firsts on The Bachelorette's "Men Tell All."
On the season's penultimate episode, the majority of Andi's rejected suitors gathered to rehash the season with host Chris Harrison. But in addition to some very heated conversations, the show also brought back happily married couple Ashley and J.P. to talk about their exciting baby news — and get a live ultrasound! (Yes, you read that right.) The two hours also included an inquisitive audience member interrupting Chris' hot-seat time for what became somewhat of a mini-date. But was it all staged? And did the men really get everything off their chests? We were on the scene to figure out what went on behind the scenes! Plus: Harrison, Andi and some of the guys share their take on the night and give a preview of the finale.
Bachelorette host Chris Harrison wastes no time asking Andi the most pressing question on Monday's Men Tell All episode: Is she pregnant?
Every season, the show's rejected men and women reunite to hash out the season, while the star gets to come face-to-face with all of their exes. Monday's episode is also a chance for Harrison to address rumors, including the recent — and very ridiculous -- one that Andi is pregnant after her Fantasy Suite dates.
The Bachelorette's hometown week might've ended on a very sad note, but before that it was nothing but love from the families for Andi.
This week, Andi headed to the homes of Marcus, Josh, Nick and Chris where two of the men in particular pulled out all the stops to show her their love. But despite Marcus' openness with his feelings — and his incredible striptease — Andi let him go during what turned out to be a devastating rose ceremony following the news of Eric's death.
There's no handbook for how to proceed when a reality show contestant passes away and there certainly hasn't been much precedence for how to handle it if it happens while the show is still filming. When Eric Hill tragically died shortly after his exit from The Bachelorette, it wasn't a question if it would be addressed, but producers were faced with whether or not they should film and subsequently broadcast the remaining cast learning of the horrific accident.
The Bachelorette host on Eric's final episode: It's hard to know the right thing to do
On Monday's episode, following Andi's hometown dates with Marcus, Josh, Nick and Chris, host Chris Harrison sat the five down in his living room to explain what had happened. Viewers watched as the group was given the shocking news and as Andi broke down remembering her last conversation with Eric. Eventually, the episode turned to a one-on-one with Andi, followed by a melancholy rose ceremony in which Andi again wondered how to celebrate the next phase of her journey amidst such tragedy.
