True Blood's Final Season: Where Were We and What's Next?

Goodbyes suck!

True Blood returns for its seventh and final season Sunday (9/8c, HBO) and picks up just moments after most of the townspeople of Bon Temps gathered in support of the "One Vampire-One Human" movement that paired people up in exchange for clean blood and protection. True Blood's Final Season Trailer: "There's No One Left"

Vampires are on the verge of becoming extinct in the final season of True Blood.

In the first trailer for Season 7, Sookie (Anna Paquin) surveys Bon Temps as the vampires start attacking each other. "How can this be happening in this country and in this day of age that our government would leave us for dead?" Sookie says. "Now good folks in this town are turning on each other, acting like animals."

HBO sets premiere dates for True Blood, Damon Lindelof's The Leftovers

In the final few seconds, Sookie, surrounded by Sam (Sam Trammell), Jason (Ryan Kwanten), Alcide (Joe Manganiello) and Sheriff Andy (Chris Bauer), says, "There's no one left."
