Jonas Trapp (Chuck Connors) falls in love with the beautiful Jessie (Kathryn Hays), a wealthy girl out of his humble class. Against the wishes of her snobbish aunt (Ruth Warrick), she marries him, later faking a pregnancy to win her aunt's consent. But Jonas tires of living off of his wife's family, and eventually deserts her to become a buffalo hunter. 11 years later, with his self-made fortune, he sets out to return home, only to be set upon by three sadistic marauders (Michael Rennie, Bill Bixby and Claude Akins), who steal his money and leave him for dead. Rescued by a farmer (Paul Fix) who nurses him back to health, Jonas becomes consumed by the desire for revenge. As fate would have it, all three men live close to Jonas' former home. Matters quickly get worse when Jonas reunites with his wife, only to discover that she is now engaged to Renne. watch

Cheers: An Incredible Memory

Cheers to The Incredible Hulk for not forgetting its roots. The surprisingly solid summer blockbuster pays dual homage to the 1978-82 TV series. The late Bill Bixby (who played the Hulk's mild-mannered alter ego) is seen in a clip from his series The Courtship of Eddie's Father. And the original green monster, Lou Ferrigno, appears as a security guard Edward Norton bribes with a pizza and proclaims, "You are the man!" Ferrigno also provides the voice of the computer-generated Hulk. HULK STAR REMEMBERED

Jack Colvin, best known for playing relentless tabloid reporter Jack McGee in the 1970s series The Incredible Hulk, died last Thursday of complications following a stroke. He was 71. Recalling his most memorable TV foray, Colvin once told the Los Angeles Times, "When they told me the title, I laughed. But then they gave me two scripts to read and I knew the series would go." Hulk, with Bill Bixby in the lead, ran from 1977 to 1982. read more
