Question: On last week's Gilmore Girls, Rory made a comment about Betty Friedan being dead. But Ms. Friedan — a hero to my mom and me — only died the week before. Were the writers betting on Betty leaving this world before the broadcast?


Answer: I was wondering the same thing! Turns out production on that episode was delayed and Betty was already dead when shooting began. "They did Episode 16 before Episode 15," says a source, "and they had to rush to get 16 on the air by Feb. 14."
