Frasier and Roz play matchmakers for their parents - with disastrous results. Roz's mother Joanna is visiting Seattle, and after a few days of 'togetherness,' Roz yearns to have a little time to herself. Frasier suggests they 'fix up' Martin and Joanna, so they arrange for them to meet at a supposedly 'chance' run-in. Although the two parents instantly see through the charade, they go out to a jazz club anyway. The date runs late, and when Martin and Joanna return to Frasier's place, it appears they've had a great time. But as soon as Roz and Joanna leave, Martin tells Frasier he can't stand Joanna. Moments later, Roz pops her head back in and joyously reports that her mother had a blast and asks Frasier to have Martin call Joanna for another date while she's in town. The next day, Frasier tries to break the news to Roz that Martin isn't interested, but Roz glowingly describes how the date has opened up her mother and improved their relationship. Unable to disappoint either woman, Frasier invites them to watch the Super Bowl at his place. Martin is furious because he's asked his waitress friend Bonnie over to catch the game. Although Frasier tries to pretend that Bonnie is Niles' date, the truth comes out when Joanna overhears Martin telling Bonnie that he dislikes Joanna, and Roz and Joanna quietly leave the party. watch

A few years ago, William ...

Question: A few years ago, William Shatner hosted a special for TV Guide going through most of the sci-fi shows that had been on over the years. I believe that it was called "TV Guide's Best of Sci-Fi" or something to that effect. Is it available on video and, if not, what is the name of the old children's sci-fi show that starred Ruth Buzzi as a lost space person traveling from one planet to another? Do you know? Thank you.

Answer: Why, of course I do. The program in question, TV Guide Looks at Science Fiction, features Shatner presenting highlights from such notable shows as Lost in Space, The X-Files, Planet of the Apes and others. You should be able to find it on VHS and DVD at local video stores and online merchants.

The show you're wondering about is The Lost Saucer, y read more
