Online Lottery Announced for Jackson's Public Memorial

An online lottery will distribute only 17,500 tickets for Michael Jackson's public memorial service at Los Angeles' Staples Center on Tuesday.

About 1.6 million people registered for the lottery during the weekend. Each of the 8,750 people selected will get an exclusive code and instructions on how to obtain two free tickets. read more

Jermaine Jackson: "I Wish It Was Me"

In a tearful interview on NBC's Today show, Jermaine Jackson said he should have died instead of his brother, Michael, whose death last week remains under investigation.

"I wish it was me," he told Today's Matt Lauer, who sat down with Jackson on the grounds of his late brother's Neverland Ranch. "I always felt that I was his backbone, someone to be there for him."

While the Jackson family confirmed no public memorial service would take place at Neverland this weekend, Jackson said he hoped the 2,500-acre ranch would be his brother's final resting place. "This is his home, he created this, why wouldn't he be here?" he told Lauer. Jackson's interment at Neverland would require an exception by local officials because burials are restricted to cemeteries. (Should Michael be buried at Neverland? Vote in our poll below.)

Hilary Duff Joins Gossip Girl

Hilary Duff is joining the cast of Gossip Girl, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Duff will play Olivia Burke, a movie star who enrolls at NYU, where her new roommate will be... Vanessa! No word on how Olivia will interact with our other favorite Bobcats (roomies Blair and Georgina and "Lonely Boy" Dan among them), but we're guessing that she will.

Duff has signed on for several episodes, beginning with the new season's fourth. Gossip Girl returns on Monday, Sept. 14 at 9 pm/ET.

90210: Trevor Donovan to Play "Teddy"

Remember that guy we exclusively revealed would be Ethan's replacement on 90210? Well, here's what he looks like!

His name is Trevor Donovan, and you might recognize him from a stint on Days of Our Lives as bad boy Jeremy Horton or from his days as an Abercrombie and Fitch model (Google will help you out if you need the photographic evidence, pervs).

Producers have tapped Donovan to play suave, charming Teddy, who is a tennis prodigy and the son of a movie star. Teddy sounds like what Steve Sanders was supposed to be, before they cast Ian Ziering and then they were like: OK, he'll be the funny one!

On this week's True Blood, Sookie has a run-in with a mysterious monster, which brings her to Fangtasia, where she discovers Lafayette locked up in the basement. Jason's doubts about Jesus camp are quelled by Sarah's fervent ministrations. Maryann has a party, the nature of which causes a rift between Tara and Eggs. A sullen Jessica enjoys a night out at Merlotte's. And Sam and Daphne have common interests. At first blush, "Scratches" appears to tie up some loose ends, but in fact, it's setting the scene for a very different True Blood, which starts in two weeks. Let's see what we have in store:

Police: "No Red Flag" in Questioning of Jackson's Doctor; Plus: Details on a Second Autopsy

Police have questioned Michael Jackson's personal physician and have found there to be "no red flag" in his account of the events leading to the singer's death, a source told the Los Angeles Times.

The LAPD has stated that Dr. Conrad Murray — a Las Vegas cardiologist who was scheduled to accompany Jackson on his upcoming U.K. tour dates — sat with police for three hours Saturday night. Police have said that he is not suspected of any wrongdoing and is cooperating with their investigation. Murray's attorney, Edward Chernoff, issued at statement after the meeting, saying that his client "is in no way a suspect and remains a witness to this tragedy."
