The music business comedy premieres in June
Just two days before the premiere of Vinyl, HBO's auteur-driven series about the music industry, comes the first trailer for Showtime's rival auteur-driven series about the music industry, Roadies.
Roadies is created, written, directed and executive produced by Cameron Crowe, who previously tread similar territory with his classic rock comedy Almost Famous. This is the film director's first TV series, and it follows the lives of road crew for a band called the Staton-House Band.
The hourlong comedy stars Luke Wilson and Carla Gugino, with a supporting cast including Imogen Poots, Keisha Castle-Hughes and Ron White. It counts J.J. Abrams and Winnie Holzman (My So-Called Life) as an executive producer.
You should invest your time in Showtime's Billions
Roadies premieres Sunday, June 26th at 10/9c on Showtime.
