The Julie Andrews Show is a television special that was broadcast by NBC in November 1965. This was Andrews' first solo American TV Special, although she had previously starred in several dramatic television works (High Tor, Cinderella) and co-starred with Carol Burnett in a major special. A profile of legendary swing dancer Frankie Manning (1914-2009), one of the originators of the lindy hop, who won fame at Harlem's Savoy Ballroom in the 1930s. In 1989, Manning won a Tony award for his choreography of "Black and Blue."
