Two celebrity-and-contestant teams have only seconds to identify as many words as possible within a particular category. The winner of each round advances to the Winner's Circle to try for the grand prize. Many incarnations of this popular game have aired over the last three decades (with varying dollar amounts), including the current version hosted by Donny Osmond and called simply 'Pyramid.' Billy Crystal holds the record for the fastest win (28 seconds) in the Winner's Circle.

Celebrity Bowling was an American syndicated sports series hosted by Jed Allan that ran from January 16, 1971 to September 1978. The series was produced in Los Angeles at Metromedia Square, the studios of KTTV.Each week, the show featured four celebrities, on a pair of AMF or Brunswick lanes installed inside KTTV's studios, pitted against each other in teams of two. Victorious teams won prizes for studio audience members based upon the level of winning scores.The weekly series was a by-product of The Celebrity Bowling Classic, a 90-minute TV special produced in 1969 for the Metromedia-owned stations, benefitting the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Foundation.Joe Siegman created the series, and he and Don Gregory produced 144 episodes for their 7-10 Productions.

Shaq Vs. is an American reality television show produced for ABC by Dick Clark Productions and Media Rights Capital starring American basketball star Shaquille O'Neal. It began airing on August 18, 2009.Shaquille O'Neal claims to be "the greatest athlete" and challenged numerous top athletes in their own sports.The Washington Post has pointed out similarities to Shaq Vs. and Todd Gallagher's book "Andy Roddick Beat Me With a Frying Pan" saying the book and the show have "precisely the same premise" and that a TV show based on the book Gallagher was trying to sell was "the exact same show." TMZ later reported that Gallagher received a half-a-million dollar settlement. Gallagher's name appears in the credits of season 2 as a producer.The Arizona Republic reported that in early 2008 Steve Nash, a former teammate of O'Neal's, had mentioned to O'Neal a reality show he was pursuing that would feature Nash taking on professional athletes in their own sport. O'Neal said Nash's idea was based on training with other athletes, not competing against them. Nash would not confirm the Republic's story and said, "We collaborated on parts of the show." Nash is an executive producer of the program.

Military personnel demonstrated diverse talents in this variety series, originally hosted by Steve Allen. The contestants sang, danced or did whatever they thought was entertaining in hopes of winning a date with a celebrity. The title was changed to 'Soldier Parade' in 1954 and the show was later expanded to an hour.

It was orginally aired on ITV produced by ATV from 12 March to 10 September 1963 hosted by Shaw Taylor, then it aired on BBC2 from 24 March to 28 April 1973 hosted by Brian Redhead before moving to its flagship channel BBC1 from 7 January 1974 to 1976 first hosted by Eleanor Summerfield then by Esther Rantzen, it was then aired on Channel 4 produced by Thames from 6 November 1982 to 14 May 1983 hosted by Tom O'Connor and then finally aired back on ITV produced by Ulster from 22 July 1987 to 5 August 1988 hosted by Gordon Burns.
