This evocative cable drama chronicles life in and around the Miramar Playa, a luxury hotel in Miami Beach circa 1959, where manager Ike Evans (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) contends with celebrity guests; politicians and bigwigs; shady characters; and local mob boss Ben "The Butcher" Diamond (Danny Huston), who has designs on taking over the establishment. As Season 2 begins, Ike faces a murder rap and his family tries to raise bail money, which leads them to discover just who his silent partners are. Ike decides he must rid himself of Diamond and sets in motion a plan to that end, but Stevie continues to get more involved with the crime boss. Diamond, on the other, seeks permission from the Chicago syndicate to put a hit on Ike. In the end, the outcome of the gambling bill stands to have a major impact on Ike and Ben's future, while DA Jack Klein (Matt Ross) contemplates Ike's offer to take care of The Butcher.
