The life and career of lyricist Johnny Mercer (1909-76), who had 18 Oscar-nominated Best Songs and four wins, is recalled by singers, songwriters, composers, family and filmmakers, including Clint Eastwood, who also served as executive producer. Archival clips of performances of Mercer tunes feature Ella Fitzgerald, Pearl Bailey, Fred Astaire, Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole and the Mills Brothers. Directed by Bruce Ricker.
