Friday Night Lightsstar Zach Gilford has joined the cast of ABC's mid-season medical drama Off the Map, an ABC rep tells TVGuide.com.
Gilford will play Tommy, a physician who joins fellow doctors Lily (Caroline Dhavernas) and Mina (Mamie Gummer) at a medical clinic in South America.
The 28-year-old star joins the cast after the departure of Enrique Murciano, who was let go because of creative reasons, according to ABC reps. Gilford will not be playing the same character the Without a Trace star portrayed.
Enrique Murciano falls Off the Map
Off the Map, created by Jenna Bans and produced by Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice's Shonda Rhimes, recently signed Rachelle Lefevre as a series regular. The cast also includes Jason George, Martin Henderson and Valerie Cruz.
