Maybe this will make it all less confusing?

Watching Westworldis always a wild ride, but hold your horses for Season 3, because we've got some majorly bad news. TV Guide has learned that the third season of the HBO drama will actually be shorter than the first two seasons, with the count coming in at just 8 episodes rather than the standard 10.

Given the complex nature of the characters and the storylines, that probably doesn't come as great news to fans who were hoping to really dig into the world outside the park in the upcoming third season. Instead, it looks like we're getting an abridged version of what we're used to, so let's just hope that the series makes the most of the time it's got! Who knows, maybe the shorter time frame will make it all less confusing?

The trailer for Westworld Season 3 dropped at San Diego Comic-Con this summer, and it seems like we'll be picking up right where we left off after Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) escaped the park and made it out to the real world. We also know some new characters are headed Dolores' way, with an impressive roster of guest stars including Aaron Paul, Lena Waithe, and Vincent Cassel.

Westworld Season 3 arrives in 2020.

The Wrap was the first to report this news.
