Bette (Jennifer Beals), Shane (Katherine Moennig), and Alice (Leisha Hailey) are back. The first trailer for Showtime's upcoming The L Word revival, titled The L Word: Generation Q, reunites original series stars Beals, Moennig, and Hailey for more romance, heartache, and adventures -- and, in Bette's case, a historic campaign to be Los Angeles' first lesbian mayor.

As Bette puts it to Shane in the trailer: "To new beginnings."

The eight-episode sequel to the iconic drama series, which first aired on Showtime from 2004 to 2009, also introduces "a new generation of diverse, self-possessed LGBTQIA characters," including Dani Nùñez (Arienne Mandi), Micah Lee (Leo Sheng), Finley (Jacqueline Toboni), Sophie Suarez (Rosanny Zayas), and Gigi (Sepideh Moafi).
