Are you ready for a royal rumble this November? Netflix has revealed the full trailer for The King, and it looks like the upcoming battle between Timothée Chalamet's reluctant monarch Henry V and Robert Pattinson's Dauphin of France is going to be intense. On top of all the sword fighting, the trailer also shows the Dauphin engaging in a war of words, demanding the King's surrender and taunting, "King of England, are you scared?"
What's New on Netflix in November 2019
The King is based on William Shakespeare's Henry V and stars Chalamet as "Hal," a prince who'd previously ignored his royal birthright and lived among the common people but must step up to throne one his tyrannical father dies and leaves an ongoing war in his wake. Based on the trailer, he's going to have to get over whatever hangups he had about leadership and armor up to fight on the field.
The King is directed by David Michôd and co-written with Joel Edgerton, who also stars in the film as Henry V's closest friend and mentor, the knight John Falstaff. Michôd and Edgerton previously teamed up for The Rover, which featured Pattinson in the lead, and also worked together on the film Animal Kingdom.
Sean Harris, Ben Mendelsohn, and Lily-Rose Depp also star.
The King arrives on Netflix on Nov. 1.
