The Facts of Life Is the Latest Classic to Get Consumed by the Reboot Machine

And how the heck is Leonardo DiCaprio involved?

You take the good, you take the OH GOD PLEASE NO WHY WHAT DID WE DESERVE TO DO THIS WE'RE ALL DOOMED, you take them both and there you have, a The Facts of Life reboot in the works.

Deadline reports that the popular '80s sitcom is the latest old show to be eyed for a do-over. There are no other details about the reboot -- no network, no premise, no nothing -- other than some weird celebrity connections to Jessica Biel and Leonardo DiCaprio because their production companies are the ones producing it. So if you want to blame someone, blame Mary Camden from 7th Heaven and the runaway kid from Growing Pains. There's no word on whether George Clooney and his rad hair will be back for it, but I think I can absolutely, positively say that no, no way in hell will he get near this.

The Facts of Life was spun off from Diff'rent Strokes as it followed the Drummonds' hosuekeeper Edna Garrett (Charlotte Rae) who became the housemother of a dorm at a private all-girls school in upstate New York. The cast of characters included young women from all walks of life, like that spoiled brat Blair and the tomboy Jo.

Everything's getting rebooted so just get used to it. Just sit on your couch and watch television. It's useless to resist or get upset about it. Comply and consume. Repeat.
