Sarah Palin Takes on Shatner on Tonight Show

Sarah Palin made a surprise stop on her book tour, popping up on The Tonight ShowFriday after William Shatner performed one of his dramatic readings from the former governor's new book, Going Rogue: An American Life.

"I think Bill did a great job," said Palin as Shatner's bongo accompaniment died down. "I think it's only appropriate that I read a few choice excerpts from Mr. Shatner's autobiography, Up Till Now."

Palin read excerpts about Star Trek, T.J. Hooker and even Johnny Carson.

"As I finished 'Mr. Tambourine Man,'" Palin read, "I glanced over at Johnny Carson, who had a look of astonishment on his face vaguely similar to the look on Spock's face when his brain was missing."
