The Defenders(Friday, 8/7c, CBS)
Now here's some stunt casting to get your nostalgic juices flowing. The guest judge in this week's episode of the breezy Vegas courtroom drama is Dan Aykroyd, who clashes with Jim Belushi's Nick Morelli during a court hearing. (Aykroyd's first blast of fame came while playing alongside Jim's legendary brother John in the original Saturday Night Live cast — and later as Blues Brothers.) Even better news: Aykroyd returns next week, seeking Nick's help on a legal matter. Who ya gonna call?

Fringe(Friday, 9/8c, Fox)
Surely you didn't think this mind-blowing show was leaving the alt-world behind for good? This week, we're back "over there," as the bizarro Fringe Team adjusts to life without their version of Broyles and faux-Olivia is reunited with her hunky boyfriend — after her long tryst with Peter in our world. The case of the week involves a bio-terrorist whose weapon of choice is a flesh-eating insect. Betcha the real Walter would love to get his hands on that.

The Simpsons(Sunday, 8/7c, Fox)
Marge Simpson, you've let yourself go — gray? Tis true. The blue bouffant takes on a more "mature" hue — which may not be the best timing, because Homer has suddenly (and unexpectedly) become a chick magnet while acting as a despondent Moe's wingman. In other Fox toon news, Family Guy goes the 12-step route, when Peter and Brian's drinking gets out of control, prompting a visit from Death (voice of Adam Carolla) to try to sober them up. Carrie Fisher, the bawdy been-there-drank-that star of HBO's Wishful Drinking, also makes a guest appearance.

The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards(Sunday, 8/7c, CBS)
Less an awards show than an all-star music extravaganza, this year's ceremony welcomes Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger to perform live for the first time. He'll team with Raphael Saadiq during the show's annual "In Memoriam" tribute. Headliners this year include all five Album of the Year nominees: Eminem (the year's most nominated performer), Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire, Lady Antebellum and Katy Perry. Also on tap are the ubiquitous Justin Bieber with Usher, and the act I'm most eager to witness: Cee Le Green with Gwyneth Paltrow and the Jim Henson Company Puppets (as opposed to Muppets?). Tickle me curious.
