Kit Harington's Game of Thrones Co-Stars Crashed His SNL Monologue to Demand Spoilers

Emilia Clarke can't help that she already forgot what happened!

The stars of Game of Thrones have been so sworn to secrecy ahead of the show's eighth and final season that their silence on spoilers is the story of their on-going promotional tour. The cast has been playing such a tough round of theory dodgeball the past few weeks that there's pretty much nothing else for them to talk about except the fact that they can't talk about anything. So what else was Kit Harington to do during his opening monologue for Saturday Night Live but to field and bat down yet another onslaught of spoiler requests?

The fact that the audience interrupted his chats about his lesser-known work in films like Silent Hill: Revelation and Pompeii to talk about Game of Thrones wasn't surprising, but what was unexpected was just who popped up in the crowd. Emilia Clarke and John Bradley were among those who came along to prod Harington with some key questions about the finale, while real-life wife Rose Leslie wondered how they were going to keep living their "Uber Eats every night" lifestyle after the show is done.

"Could you just give us a general sense of how it ends?" Clarke says, after Harington turns down another audience member. He then reminds her that she, too, has been given the goods on what happens in the final season because, you know, she stars in it and all. "I know, but I forgot," Clarke replies. "I mean, it's been so damn long since the last season. Plus, a lot of my scenes are talking to a dragon, which is just a tennis ball on a green pole."

Meanwhile, Bradley contends that he doesn't know what becomes of Samwell Tarly since he only got two pages of the script. "All my character says is 'ahhh,'" he reveals, before explaining that the line before it featured a dragon opening its mouth. (Considering the Tarly family's recent history with dragons, that's actually not hard to imagine.)

The last surprise of the segment is the arrival of the Night King, a la Pete Davidson coated in a vat of grey makeup. He's not here for spoilers so much as a confidence boost. "Do people hate me?" he asks. "'Cause it really feels like they hate me."

SNL doubled down on its Game of Thrones play during Harington's hosting stint with an extended sketch about the many, many prequel/sequel/spin-off ideas afloat right now, offering a few good concepts of their own.

One such is Castle Black, "a sexy moody drama about forbidden love" featuring Jon Snow's torrid romance with a female wight -- which makes a good point that it wouldn't be that weird since he is also technically a zombie.

There's also an animated series called Arya made in the style of Daria, as she adopts those misanthropic garbs and stabs football jock Kevin Thompson in the throat (who wouldn't want to see Arya put some of those Lawndale High preppies in their place, honestly?). Other highlights include No Ballers, starring Greyworm, Varys, and Theon and Game of Thrones: Special Victims Unit, which brings Mariska Hargitay and Ice-T to Flea Bottom to investigate a particularly vicious murder involving an eye-gouging, some "thing" removal, and a bit of necromancy for good measure.

SNL airs on Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c. Game of Thrones Season 8 premieres on HBO on Sunday, April 14 at 9/8c.
