Gossip Girl's John Shea Joins The Good Wife

John Shea, who plays Blair's dad on Gossip Girl, is taking on another paternal role this fall, when he'll appear on The Good Wife  as Cary's (Matt Czuchry) father, TVLine reports.

Shea's potentially recurring character is described by TVLine as "the kind of guy who kicks his son out of the house at age 18 so that he can fend for himself, because that's what his own father did to him." Guess we know where Cary gets his ambition from!

Christina Ricci lands at The Good Wife for "controversial" guest spot

Shea previously starred as Lex Luthor on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.

The Good Wife returns Sunday, Sept. 30 at 9/8c on CBS.
