Rashida Jones' romantic comedy pilot just landed a mother of a casting.

Cristin Milioti, who joined How I Met Your Mother this season as the future Mrs. Ted Mosby, has signed on to star in Jones' NBC pilot A to Z, TVGuide.com has learned.

How I Met Your Mother and more TV shows we're losing this year

The single-camera comedy follows the relationship of a young couple, Andrew and Zelda, from meet-cute to breakup. Milioti will play Zelda, a lawyer at a small, public advocacy firm who is the "realist" in the relationship. Hilarious yet serious, Zelda loves being an adult and doesn't understand why anyone over the age of 20 would want to see an animated movie or eat ice cream sundaes. She doesn't believe in fate, instead Zelda believes she holds the keys to her own destiny.

A to Z will be executive-produced by Jones (Parks and Recreation), Will McCormack (Celeste and Jesse Forever) and Ben Queen (Cars 2), who also wrote the pilot.

In addition to her role on Mother's final season, Milioti recently appeared in The Wolf of Wall Street and earned a Tony nomination for her performance in the Broadway adaptation of Once.
