Code Black Is Returning Earlier Than Expected

Adjust your calendars, Code Blackis returning for Season 3 sooner than we expected.

TV Guide has learned that the new season of the medical drama will premiere on Wednesday, April 25 at 10/9c on CBS, a full week ahead of its previously announced return date. The series, which stars Marcia Gay Harden and Rob Lowe, follows the staff of the busiest emergency room in the country who must deal with an influx of patients and limited resources.

Code Black's new premiere date bumps Criminal Minds' finale up a week. Matthew Gray Gubler, Paget Brewster and the rest of the crew will wrap up Season 13 with a special two-hour finale on Wednesday, April 18 at 9/8c.

Meanwhile, Elementary, which stars Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu as Sherlock Holmes and Joan Watson in a modern take on the classic stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, is still slated to return for Season 6 on Monday, April 30 at 10/9c.
