CBS's Fall 2019 TV Schedule

This fall, new episodes of The Big Bang Theory will be gone from our television sets forever (even though the show will live in infamy in reruns). What series is going to fill its gaping hole in the 2019-2020 CBS schedule -- and in our hearts?

CBS has officially rolled out its fall 2019 TV schedule, and claiming Big Bang's highly coveted spot is Young Sheldon, of course. The spin-off will air Thursdays at 8/7c, and since it was renewed earlier this year for a third and fourth season fans know that they'll have plenty of Sheldon in their lives moving forward despite the flagship bowing out this month. Another big thing to celebrate is the fact that Mom takes over as CBS's longest-running comedy on air when it returns for its seventh season airing Thursdays at 9/8c.

Elsewhere on the schedule, NCIS returns for Season 17 Tuesdays at 8/7c, while Season 11 of NCIS: Los Angeles will air Sundays at 9/8c and Season 6 of NCIS: New Orleans is set for Tuesdays at 10/9c. Fans will also be able to catch Hawaii Five-0 Fridays at 8/7c and Blue Bloodsat10/9c.

CBS's 2019-2020 Fall TV Lineup: What You Need to Know

The 2018-19 freshmen that are getting second seasons are FBI, God Friended Me, Magnum P.I., and Cedric the Entertainer's comedy series The Neighborhood. FBI is also getting a spin-off, Most Wanted, which will debut midseason, as CBS expands its own Dick Wolf universe in the vein of the super-producer's other franchises, Law & Order and One Chicago, which air on NBC.

The biggest surprise is that CBS has opted to hold Criminal Minds' 15th and final season. Rather than premiere in the fall as expected, the abbreviated, 10-episode final run will be held until midseason. Taking Criminal Minds' usual spot on Wednesdays at 10/9c this fall will be the Shemar Moore drama S.W.A.T.

MIDSEASON

CBS is waiting until midseason to launch new shows FBI: Most Wanted, the Edie Falco cop drama Tommy, and the Pauley Perrette comedy Broke.

Fans will also have wait until midseason to see what's next on Criminal Minds' final season, MacGyver, and Man with a Plan.
