Outlander's sexy wedding night has arrived: Did it live up to your expectations?

In August, I was one of a few of those lucky journalists allowed to set foot on Starz's and Sony Production's very secretive set of Outlander. Not only did I get to spend two days amongst the talented cast and crew who were in the midst of finishing the second half of Season 1, but I also traveled to some of the breathtaking locations, including the historic Doune Castle, that were transformed for the show's 18th-century time period.

"It's been an amazing experience [doing the show]," executive producer Ronald D. Moore told us. "When I read the books a few years ago, it's very evocative and paints this picture of Scotland both in the 20th century and 18th century. So it's been really gratifying seeing it come to life and see the richness which we've been able to realize it and the attention to detail and all the little things that are adding to the authenticity of that period."

Emmy-winning costume designer Terry Dresbach reveals that while Outlander is one of the most challenging projects she's worked on, it's also been the most thrilling. "The 18th century is one of the most fantastic periods of costume in civilization and as a costume designer you just wait for that moment when might get the chance to do the 18th century," she said.

The Outlander midseason finale airs on Saturday at 9/8c on Starz and will return for the second half of the season on April 4.
