Emmy winner Margo Martindale has been courted by not one, but two pilots.

Martindale, who won the Emmy for her role as Mags Bennett on Justified, has landed a leading role on ABC's Counter Culture comedy, and will guest-star on Showtime's Masters of Sex drama.

Pilot Season: Get the scoop!

In Counter Culture, Martindale will play Joyce, the eldest of three aging sisters who run their family diner together in West Texas and find that sibling dynamics are always getting in the way of getting the job done. As previously announced, Doris Roberts will also star.

MADtv's Stephnie Weir will write and executive-produce alongside Claudia Lonow (Accidentally on Purpose). The project is in second position to CBS' A Gifted Man, which means if the medical drama is renewed, Martindale will stay with the show.

Masters of Sex will follow the relationship of 1960s human sexuality pioneers William Masters (Michael Sheen) and Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan). Martindale will play Miss Horchow, Masters' very by-the-book secretary. Beau Bridges (The Descendents) and Caitlin Fitzgerald (It's Complicated) have also been cast in the pilot as Masters' boss and his wife, respectively.

Based on Thomas Maier's acclaimed 2009 book about the couple, the project is written by Michelle Ashford (The Pacific) and directed by John Madden (Shakespeare in Love).
