SPELLBINDER taps into FATAL ATTRACTION's fear that a one-night stand may turn out to be more than a little bit weird. In this case, Daly (DINER), a yuppie lawyer, takes the advice of a friend (Rossovich, ROXANNE) and hits on the archetypal woman-in-distress, Preston (TWINS). What Daly eventually discovers is that Preston has a real reason to be distressed--she's a witch whose coven is trying to lure her back. The directorial debut for Janet Greek (THE LADIES CLUB) is a rather silly, predictable thriller.
