A primetime revival of the 1960s Gothic serial about a 200-year-old vampire who was unwittingly unearthed from his crypt on his family's Maine estate. The updated version possessed more special effects than the bare-boned original when it premiered on Jan. 13, 1991, on NBC, but the newfangled fantasy never caught on. The network buried it less than two months later.

A classic live anthology series featuring adaptations of plays and novels, as well as original teleplays. Paddy Chayefsky and Gore Vidal were among the giants who wrote for the show, and A-list performers who appeared (many early in their careers) included Sidney Poitier, Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, Grace Kelly, James Dean, Walter Matthau, Charlton Heston, and Rod Steiger. The show, which later alternated with Goodyear TV Playhouse, won a Peabody Award in 1954 for "superior standards and achievements."
