The Tudors

A chronicle of the early years in the reign of England's King Henry VIII from 1520 to '30, when he divorced his first wife, Katherine of Aragon.

Season 3, Episode 8 The Undoing of Cromwell

First Aired: May 24, 2009

In the third-season finale, Henry tires of the unattractive and uninteresting Anne of Cleves (Joss Stone) and takes a mistress, the comely Katherine Howard (Tamzin Merchant), which rekindles his passion. Anne's cousin, a Bavarian prince, arrives at court and sweeps Princess Mary off her feet, but their happiness is short-lived when Henry sends him back to his own country; with his new powers, Brandon accuses Cromwell of being a traitor and has him imprisoned in the Tower of London.
