A documentary on the endangered Kemp's ridley turtle in the Gulf of Mexico. There were fewer than 500 nesting females in 1985 because of poaching, shrimp trawls and a 1979 oil spill. Conservation efforts, however, reversed the trend. The documentary also details the uncertain future of the turtles due to the 2010 Gulf spill.
