Reilly (Douglas Smith) leaves a life of privilege in Connecticut to attend school in the Outback of Wollemi, Australia, where his aunt runs a vet clinic. And while being the “new kid” is always a difficult adjustment, the 14-year-old has the added burden of knowing his dad's in jail and his mom's mentally unwell. Things do take a turn for the better, though, when Reilly helps an attractive animal lover care for an injured kangaroo. He's also befriended by a boy who fancies himself as being “a bit outside the box.” Aggie: Jade Ewen.
