Season 3 of the drama about sex researchers William Masters (Michael Sheen) and Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) begins with the two facing the press for the first time as they prepare to publish their study. The book proves to be a success, despite brewing controversy over it, but Masters becomes concerned about potential bad publicity when he learns that Virginia is pregnant. Since she's unmarried, he urges her to wed just for show and she does. Meanwhile, Libby (Caitlin Fitzgerald) starts to question her marriage to Bill; and Masters and Johnson hunt for investors and choose Dan Logan (Josh Charles), a businessman in the perfume industry who wants to capture the scent of sex in a fragrance. Unfortunately for Bill, Logan shows an interest in Virginia and she likes the attention.
