In the Season 1 finale, family members set up Reba with an online date, and despite the evening not turning out to her satisfaction, she realizes that she just might be fully ready to jump back into the dating pool.
Reba thinks her music career is about to take off when she finally gets to meet Mr. Bata in person, but her hopes take a hit when she learns that he wants her to write commercial jingles. Meanwhile, Sage changes his mind about applying to Stanford because he doesn't want to be away from June, and he's decided to pursue a music career.
Kim's husband greets Reba with a kiss that was a tad too friendly, and she wrestles with whether to tell Kim; Lillie Mae finds a nude beach and finds herself in terrible pain when she gets sunburned all over her body. Later, Geoffrey urges Reba to be more personal and honest in her songs; and June crosses a line when she invites Sage into her bedroom for some fashion advice.
Reba's ne'er-do-well brother Blake (country star Blake Shelton) pays a surprise visit and cooks up a get-rich-quick scheme to market Lillie Mae's homemade BBQ sauce. Meanwhile, June accidentally lets it be known at school that Cash is still a virgin, and when their Uncle Blake offers him some iffy romantic advice, his nephew is quick to take it to heart.
Reba, June and Cash want to come up with a great gift for Lillie Mae's birthday, but all she wants is for Reba to join an opposing team in her bowling league, and as the competition heats up, it looks as if it might lead to a rumble in the alley.
Reba's record company leans on her to work with a superstar singer who has a bad-girl reputation, and the young lady insists on moving in with the Gallaghers, where she immediately becomes a corruptive influence on Cash and June. Meanwhile, Lillie Mae agrees to house-sit for Kim, and begins to feel, despite being gone for a few days, that Reba doesn't miss her momma.
Reba suggests Cash use details from his own life for a school writing assignment, but things cut too close to home for her after he appears to mine her and Bobby's marital troubles for subject matter. Meanwhile, Geoffrey gets Lillie Mae into his improv class.
Reba is a bit put out when June scores a hit with her first music video, while Lillie Mae and Kim discover that Cash has an incredible ability to pick winning racehorses, and they hope to ride their lucky charm to the bank.
After agreeing to host Kim's baby shower, Reba puts her foot in her mouth when she unknowingly gets caught on video saying some unkind things about the honoree. Meanwhile, Lillie Mae tries to help Cash get noticed by a bevy of beauty-pageant contestants.
Reba goes nose-to-nose with June's principal after the school drops its music program; and Cash has a confrontation with a popular classmate and picks up a reputation as a bully, which he begins to revel in. Meanwhile, Lillie Mae joins in a protest when she learns that her local pot dispensary may be snuffed out.
There's no joy to the world for Reba when she learns that Kim has been chosen over her to sing a solo at the church Christmas service. Meanwhile, June undergoes a crisis of faith and informs Cash that she has doubts about her religion.
Reba tries to drum up dirt on Bobby from his former bandmate, Pete, but he stands by the "bro code" and won't divulge any information, until Lillie Mae brings out her home brew and this recovering alcoholic sings like a bird. Meanwhile, Cash lands in trouble when he sneaks out in the middle of the night to come to his sister's aid.
When June begins spending more time with next-door neighbor Kim, Reba begins to feel threatened and resorts to some drastic measures to try and rekindle their mother-daughter relationship. Meanwhile, Lillie Mae schools Cash on how to be man of the house.
Reba is fit to be tied when her former husband presents Cash with a new sports car for his birthday, despite the fact that he knew Reba wanted their son to earn his first set of wheels the old-fashioned way, by working for it. Meanwhile, Lillie Mae offers advice to a worried Kim after she discovers that she is pregnant and doesn't have any idea how to care for a baby.
Reba is ecstatic when she learns one of her songs is to be recorded, but her joy is short-lived when she hears it's to be sung by rapper Travie McCoy (as himself). Meanwhile, Lillie Mae has a secret admirer; and Cash tries to downplay his down-home Southern accent in an effort to fit in with his California classmates.
The family tries to adapt to new surroundings in the premiere of a series about a cheated-on wife of a country star who moves to California with her mom and kids and tries to restart her own singing career.
