The reality show's seventh season follows the lives of several people involved in New York's hip-hop scene. Kimbella is back after her last appearance in Season 2 and tries to make a comeback as a hip-hop artist while dealing with Juelz's infidelity; Yandy has to battle Samantha and Erika for the custody of their children; Cardi is climbing the ranks, but her relationship with her producer might put her career on hold; Bianca reignites the flame with ex-boyfriend DJ Drewski, despite him having a girlfriend; Papoose pressures Remy into choosing their family over her career. Everyone tries their best to become the next hip-hop sensation, but not all of them will be able to.
