He has little patience for patients, but misanthropic Gregory House is a brilliant diagnostician who probes life-and-death medical mysteries while 'CSI'-style graphics follow each disease's progression. 'X-Men' director Bryan Singer is one of the executive producers.

A scuffle with House lands a gay man with AIDS (Matthew John Armstrong) in the hospital, where he provides the disagreeable diagnostician with a medical puzzle. It's a messy one: The man coughs up blood on Cameron, who begins behaving uncharacteristically. Elsewhere, House finds an unusual (though not at all uncharacteristic) way to spend time with Stacy (Sela Ward). Mark Warner: Currie Graham. Michael: Wings Hauser.
